For those, we think that our Hu Jia-Lai "Lord Wilton" Copy (Hu-Jia Lai Violin No.13), made from European tonewoods, may be the perfect choice - it has a great, extremely easy response, a "medium-coloured" general balance and a particularly silvery, radiant e-string. If pressed, most of our customers will name that single characteristic that they're seeking in their new instrument. Warmth. Well, this is our take on a "warm-sounding" combination. The Bai Li-Xing Del Gesù "ex-Kochanski/ex-Rosand" No.339 is a violin with a darker-hued tone, and with an especially broad and generous-sounding g-string. The e-string, on the other hand, is a little on the mellow side. It is made entirely of well-seasoned Bosnian "AAAA" quality tonewoods, seasoned for at least 20 years - and it comes with Thomastik "Dominant" A, D and G-strings, plus a sweet Pirastro "Gold" E.
